The opening round of the German Bundesliga season had 7 winners, making 7 losers.
The game between Augsburg and Monchengladbach was the only game that did not produced a winner, but it produced 8 goals.
It looked like Bayern Munich was going to kick off their ttile defense season at the top of the table when they won the season opener ‘4-0’ at Bremen, but Stuttgart did one better with a ‘5-0’ win at Bochum.

The opening round of the German Bundesliga season saw 7 winners and 7 losers. The match between Augsburg and Monchengladbach ended in a draw but produced 8 goals. While Bayern Munich began their title defense with a convincing 4-0 win at Bremen, Stuttgart outperformed them with a 5-0 win over Bochum, putting them at the top of the table.

Harry Kane made a scoring debut as Bayern Munich started their season with a dominant 4-0 victory in Bremen. Leroy Sane contributed two goals to the triumph. After an exciting 3-3 first half, Augsburg and Monchengladbach settled for a point each in a thrilling 8-goal match to commence their season. RB Leipzig began their season with a narrow 3-2 defeat in Leverkusen. Despite a closely contested game, RB Leipzig will surely regret missed opportunities.

A two-goal lead in the first half was sufficient for Freiburg to initiate their season with a 2-1 away win against Hoffenheim. Sehrou Guirassy and Silas Mvumpa each scored two goals to propel Stuttgart to a convincing 5-0 victory at home against Bochum. Jonas Wind’s two goals in the opening half-hour secured Wolfsburg a home win against newly-promoted Heidenheim. Donyell Malen’s late goal gave Dortmund a winning start to their season with a narrow 1-0 home victory over FC Koln. Kevin Behrens’ hat-trick led Union Berlin to a 4-1 triumph over Mainz. A single goal from Kolo Muani made the difference as Eintracht Frankfurt narrowly defeated newly-promoted Darmstadt.
