The opening round of the German Bundesliga season had 7 winners, making 7 losers.
The game between Augsburg and Monchengladbach was the only game that did not produced a winner, but it produced 8 goals.
It looked like Bayern Munich was going to kick off their ttile defense season at the top of the table when they won the season opener ‘4-0’ at Bremen, but Stuttgart did one better with a ‘5-0’ win at Bochum.

Donyell Malen’s late goal gave Dortmund a winning start to their season with a narrow 1-0 home victory over FC Koln. Kevin Behrens’ hat-trick led Union Berlin to a 4-1 triumph over Mainz. A single goal from Kolo Muani made the difference as Eintracht Frankfurt narrowly defeated newly-promoted Darmstadt.
