Round 1 – 2020/21 Europa League

 

 

Roma comes from a goal down in the first half to win 2-1 on the road against Young Boys.

Arsenal come from behind to beat Rapid Wien.
Leverkusen scored the most goals in the round by thrashing Nice 6-2.

Rangers win away against Standard Liege.
Darwin Nunez’s hattrick gave Benfica the three points against Lech Poznan.
Granada bounced back after going down late in the first half to win 2-1 in Eindhoven.

Napoli are beaten at home.
Real Sociedad picked up a narrow victory.

A comfortable home victory for Leicester
Lille won 4-1 on the road.
AC Milan stretched their lead with a late goal against Celtic.

Villarreal was on the right side of an 8-goal thriller.

Tottenham made it a comfortable win at home.

 

 

Arsenal and Leicester took care of the teams from Austria (Rapid Wien and LASK).
All the English teams found wins in the opening round.
All the Czech Republic teams lost their matches.
Both German teams found wins in the opening round.
Both Israeli teams from wins in the opening round
All the Spanish teams were on the winning side of the score.
Napoli lost their game to deny a winning sweep for the Italian teams.

 

Wolfsberger the only Austrian side not to lose their game.

Antwerp were the only Belgian team to win, both Gent and Standard Liege were beaten.

Both Bulgarian teams (CSKA Sofia and Ludogorets Razgrad) lost their opening round.

From the Croatian teams, Dinamo Zagreb picked up a point, while Rijeka took none.

Feyenoord picked up a point. The only Dutch team to leave the opening round with a point.

Both Portuguese teams (Benfica and Braga) were winners in the opening round.

 

 

CFR Cluj and Roma lead Group A with all the available points.
Arsenal and Molde lead Group B with all the available points
Leverkusen and Hapoel Be’er Sheva lead Group C with all the available points.
Benfica and Rangers lead Group D with all the available points.
Granada topped Group E, with Omonia and PAOK sharing the points.
AZ and Real Sociedad are leading Group F, with Napoli shockingly without a point.

Leicester City and Braga lead Group G with all the available points.
Lille and AC Milan lead Group H with all the available points
Villarreal and Maccabi Tel Aviv lead Group I with all the available points.
Tottenham and Antwerp lead Group J with all the available points.
Points are shared evenly in Group K.
Hoffenheim and Slovan Liberec lead Group L with all the available points.
