2021 Copa America
Like many (if not all) international sporting competitions, the Copa America that was scheduled for 2020 had to be postponed to 2021; and that wasn’t the only change made.
The tournament was meant to be co-hosted by Argentina and Colombia. Political unrest forced the removal of Colombia from hosting before COVID-19 cases forced it out of Argentina’s hands.
Brazil will play as the host nation again. They’ve never lost a Copa America tournament as host.
CONMEBOL COPA AMERICA
June 13th, 2021 to July 10th, 2021.
The group stage is broken into two groups of five.
One group is the South Zone (Group A), and the other is the North Zone (Group B).
SOUTH ZONE
Argentina
Bolivia
Uruguay
Chile
Paraguay
The host nation is in Group B.
NORTH ZONE
Brazil
Colombia
Venezuela
Ecuador
Peru
The group stage is scheduled from June 13th to June 28th.
The quarter-finals from July 2nd -3rd.
Semi-finals from July 5th – 6th
Third place match on July 9th
Final on July 10th.
