Round 5 of the 2019/20 English Premier League – Liverpool gets a 5-point lead at the top of the standings.

Tammy Abraham scored a hat-trick against Wolves to take his tally to the top of the goalscoring chart. Abraham has now scored 2+ goals in Chelsea’s last three league matches.

Norwich City defeated Manchester City and gave way for Liverpool to take a 5 point lead.

Jetro Willems scored an early goal to give Newcastle the lead in the 7th-minute but Liverpool were down a goal for about 20 minutes before finishing the first-half of the match with a goal lead. Sadio Mane (2) and Mohamed Salah provided the goals for Liverpool to remain unbeaten and keep top spot in the league.

Jeff Hendrrick’s 90th minute equalizer allow Burnley to leave Brighton with a point.

Manchester United handed Leicester City their first league defeat of the season. Marcus Rashford scored from the spot to get Manchester United their second victory of the season.

Tottenham completed the job in the first half by getting 4 goals without a response from Crystal Palace. It was the 9th straight win for Tottenham against their London rival without conceding a goal.

Tammy Abraham banged in three against Wolves in Chelsea’s 5-2 win. Abraham’s joins Manchester
City’s Sergio Aguero at the top of the scorers’ list in the league.

The shock of the round was newly-promoted Norwich City handing Manchester City their first defeat of the season. Norwich never trailed in the journey to a 3-2 home win against the defending champions. The result widens Liverpool’s lead at the top of the league standings to a 5 points after five matches played.

Callum Wilson’s scored two in Bournemouth’s ‘3-1’ win over Everton.

Arsenal blows a 2-0 lead at Watford to finish with a point. As good as the first-half was to Arsenal, they could be considered lucky to have escaped with the point.

Aston Villa and West Ham ended the round with a goalless draw at the Villa Park.
