Real Madrid kept a perfect winning season and the top spot in the standings with another win.

The traditional top three teams in the league scored four goals each in this round. Only Barcelona did it without conceding a goal.

A 4-0 defeat at home against Barcelona meant Cadiz has now lost 5 of the 5 matches played, scored no goals, and conceded 14 goals. It was another comfortable win for Barcelona. It could have been a bigger margin of victory for Barcelona if they had started the match with their ideal first XI.

Atletico Madrid and Celta Vigo were on equal points (7) until Atletico Madrid move three points away with a 3-goal margin victory. Atletico Madrid followed a goalless draw in their last league game with a 4-1 win against Celta Vigo.

Being the first to concede a goal, while playing without Karim Benzema did not stop Real Madrid from getting the result to stay with a perfect winning record. Real Madrid came from a goal down to win 4-1 against Mallorca. Verdant Muriqi scored a header to get Mallorca in the lead with 10 minutes left of the first half to go, but Federico Valverde scored a solo goal right at the end of the half to get Real Madrid level. Vinicius Junior scored the winning goal in the 72nd minute, and Rodrygo and Antionio Rudiger widened Real Madrid’s lead in the dying minutes of the match (89th and 90+3’)

Oriol Romeu scored the match-winning goal in the 88th minute to get Girona a 2-1 win against Valladolid.

Rayo Vallecano win their second of the season in a 2-1 score against a Valencia side that was coming from a 5-1 win against Getafe.

Espanyol came from 3 goals down to close the gap to 3-2, but Sevilla held on to that 3-2 score to win their first league game of the season.

Athletic Club picked up three points away from home by scoring 4 first-half goals to get a 4-1 win at Elche.

A penalty miss did not stop Getafe from their first win of the season in a 2-1 score game with Real Sociedad.

Real Betis got back to their winning ways after losing to Real Madrid in the last round. A 1-0 home win for Real Betis was also Villarreal’s first defeat of the season. Villarreal had the opportunities but could not convert them into goals.

Back-to-back win for Osasuna to follow their defeat against Real Betis. A 1-0 win for Osasuna handed Almeria a back-to-back league defeat to follow their first win of the season against Sevilla.
