In an evenly contested match, Chelsea and Liverpool split the points in a ‘1-1’ draw. Chelsea had to come from behind to secure the equalizer and earn a point.

Newly-promoted Luton Town started their season with a ‘4-1’ loss against Brighton.
Sheffield United’s debut in the top flight at home ended in disappointment as they suffered a ‘1-0’ defeat to Crystal Palace, with Odsonne Edouard finding the game’s sole goal.

Bobby Reid, entering the fray in the second half, secured Fulham’s victorious start to the season with the lone goal in their away win against Everton.

Sandro Tonali netted his first league goal for Newcastle within the opening 6 minutes, while Alexander Isak’s brace contributed to their convincing ‘5-1’ victory over Aston Villa. Newcastle’s strong performance marks an impressive start for a team coming off a successful previous season.

A balanced first half saw Brentford and Tottenham share four goals, resulting in both teams starting their season with a point each.

Manchester United clinched victory in the final fixture of the round, narrowly defeating Wolverhampton. Raphael Varane’s solitary goal proved decisive in securing Manchester United’s winning start.
