Back-to’-Back Olympic Gold for a Brazilian side that had none. Brazil becomes the first team to win consecutive Olympic gold since Argentina did so in 2008.

Even though Rioharlison failed to convert from the penalty spot, Brazil was able to take a 1-0 lead into the break. Matheus Cunha scored right before halftime. Mikel Oyaraabal got Spain even with his goal in the 61st minute to force extra time.
