Atletico Madrid’s game in hand was rendered useless after losing 2-1 to Las Palmas. The result ended a run of six straight league wins for Atletico Madrid.

Ante Budimir scored twice to help Osasuna come back from a one-goal deficit to take the lead by the 55th minute, but Girona scored three unanswered goals in the final 20 minutes to win the match 4-2.

Sevilla is without a win from their last five league games, with the most recent four being draws. They came from behind to earn a point in a 1-1 draw with a struggling Celta Vigo.

Real Sociedad had the upper hand for most of the game, but Barcelona managed to score a late winner through Ronald Araujo’s header from Ilkay Gundogan cross in the second minute of added time. This is Real Sociedad’s third league defeat of the season, all of which have come against the traditional/recent top-three sides – Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and now Barcelona.

Ianis Hagi’s penalty miss at the end of the first half did not prove costly, as Aleksandar Sedlar’s goal in the 70th minute secured a win for Alaves against Almeria. The 1-0 score marked Alaves’ first league victory in 7 games, while Almeria remains without a league win.

Pepelu’s goal from the penalty spot at the end of the first half proved sufficient for Valencia to claim all three points against Granada.

It appeared that Villarreal might mount a comeback in the dying minutes when they scored two goals in quick succession (in the 86th and 87th minutes), bringing them within a goal of salvaging a point at home against Athletic Club. However, in the end, Athletic Club’s three goals in the first half-hour of the game secured a 3-2 victory against Villarreal.

Real Madrid dropped points in a goalless draw at home with Rayo Vallecano, shifting from an El Clasico win away to settling for a point at home in a goalless draw against Rayo Vallecano.

Despite going down to 10 men after Djene picked up a second yellow card in the 44th minute, Getafe managed to secure three points with a ‘1-0’ victory over Cadiz, courtesy of Borja Mayoral’s goal in the 76th minute. This win opened up a 5-point gap for Getafe over Cadiz.
