Bayern Munich celebrated the Bundesliga title for the fifth consecutive year.

Despite already being the champions, it was very important for Bayern to win their last match at home to ensure nothing takes away from the title.

With Robert Lewandowski failing to get on the score sheet, the golden boot couldn’t stay with Bayern Munich this season.

Borussia Dortmund    4-3    Werder Bremen

Marco Reus 32’                                               Zlatko Junuzovic 7’

Marco Reus 75’(pen)                                      Max Kruse 68’

Borussia Dortmund secures direct qualification to the 2017/18 UEFA Champions League on the final day.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang contributed two goals to help Borussia Dortmund secure a victory at home in their final match of the season.  Aubameyang’s two goals also saw him finish the season as the 2016/17 German Bundesliga top goalscorer with 31 goals.

Mönchengladbach    2-2    Darmstadt

Thorgan Hazard 50’                               Sven Schipplock 63’
Raffael 65’                                               Marcel Heller 90’

With nothing at stake for the two sides on a final day, Darmstadt exited the top-flight with a point.

Leipzig will finish the season as the second best team in the 2016/17 Bundesliga season.

RB Leipzig couldn’t find a victory in their final two matches of the season, but that did nothing to change their position in the league standings.
