Bayern Munich and Dortmund maintained their one-point difference in the title race by securing victories. The top five teams in the standings remained unchanged, with Freiburg being the only team among them to suffer a defeat.

Wolfsburg moved up to the 6th position after defeating Hoffenheim, while Leverkusen dropped to 7th following a draw with Stuttgart. Frankfurt climbed to 8th place after a victory against Mainz.

Bochum moved out of the relegation zone with a 3-2 win over Augsburg. Schalke now occupies the relegation playoff spot, and Stuttgart dropped into the relegation zone alongside Hertha Berlin, who remain at the bottom of the table.

Bayern Munich still holds a one-point lead in the title race over Borussia Dortmund after both teams picked up comfortable wins on Saturday. Bayern Munich were 6-0 winners against relegation-threatened Schalke, while Borussia Dortmund defeated Borussia Monchengladbach 5-2.

Bayern Munich’s remaining two league games are as follows:
May 20: Bayern Munich vs RB Leipzig
May 27: FC Koln vs Bayern Munich

Borussia Dortmund’s remaining two league games are as follows:
May 21: Augsburg vs Borussia Dortmund
May 27: Dortmund vs Mainz.

RB LEIPZIG, UNION BERLIN, AND FREIBURG ARE VYING FOR THE TWO REMAINING CHAMPIONS LEAGUE QUALIFICATION SPOTS IN THE LEAGUE.
With Bayern Munich and Dortmund securing two Champions League qualification spots in the league standings, Freiburg, RB Leipzig, and Union Berlin have two more rounds to compete for the remaining spots.

Union Berlin improved their chances by beating Freiburg 4-2 this weekend. It was more difficult than expected, but RB Leipzig did the same by coming from a goal down to beat Werder Bremen.

Hoffenheim could not secure the points they needed in their relegation battle against Wolfsburg.

Hertha Berlin, at the bottom of the table, made a late push by securing a win against Stuttgart in the previous round but returned to their losing ways with a 5-2 defeat in Cologne.

Augsburg was one win away from safety, while Bochum needed a win to extend the fight against relegation. Bochum succeeded on the day with a 3-2 home win against Augsburg.
