League title favorite, Paris Saint-Germain didn’t need record signing Neymar to get maximum points against newly promoted Amiens.

Lyon, Lille and Marseille were also winners on opening weekend. OGC Nice was the only high flying team from last season to fall on opening day when they lost away to Saint-Etienne.
