English Premier League: Manchester City becomes Champions with two games to spare.

 

Premier League:

 

Manchester City wins the league title and are 7 points clear with a game in hand.
There is one more Champions League qualification spot left in the league. Manchester United can pick that up with a point from their remaining two games.
Brighton confirmed Europa League football for the next season.
Chelsea will finish the season in the bottom half of the standings.
Leeds United, Leicester City, and Everton have one more round to fight against relegation. Two of the three are going down with Southampton.

Manchester City held a four-point lead in the title race with a game in hand before the start of the round. They did not need to kick a ball to become champions because Arsenal did them a favor by losing to Nottingham Forest.
Manchester City walked on to the pitch to play Chelsea as Champions.
Champions League final – done.
Premier League title – done.

A 3-1 victory for West Ham dealt a significant blow to Leeds United’s fight to avoid relegation. West Ham is safe, Leed United has one more round to fight for safety – against Tottenham.

Brighton qualifies for Europa League football for the coming season. Their first qualification to play in a continental cup tournament.

Leicester City is chasing survival. Newcastle United is chasing Champions League qualification. The two teams met in Newcastle to contest for valuable league points and shared it in a goalless draw. That was enough for Newcastle United to qualify for Champions League football.

Tottenham Hotspur took the lead in the 8th minute with a goal from Harry Kane, but Brentford fought back strongly and won 3-1, with Bryan Mbeumo scoring twice in the 50th and 62nd minutes, and Yoane Wissa scoring in the 88th minute.
Manchester United beat Bournemouth 1-0, with Casemiro scoring the only goal of the game in the 9th minute.
Liverpool and Aston Villa played out a 1-1 draw at Anfield, with Roberto Firmino scoring a late equalizer for the hosts after Jacob Ramsey had given Villa the lead in the first half.
Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton played to a 1-1 draw in a thrilling match. Hee-Chan Hwang put Wolves ahead in the 34th minute, but Yerry Mina scored a dramatic equalizer for Everton in the 90+9th minute.
Fulham and Crystal Palace played out a 2-2 draw, with Aleksandar Mitrovic scoring twice for the hosts and Odsonne Edouard and Joel Ward scoring for the visitors.
Just as it was on their last visit, Arsenal were ‘1-0’ losers against Nottingham Forest. Nottingham Forest beat Arsenal 1-0, with Taiwo Awoniyi scoring the only goal of the game in the 19th minute.

West Ham United produced an impressive performance, registering a 3-1 victory over Leeds United. Declan Rice scored in the 31st minute, followed by Jarrod Bowen in the 72nd minute. Manuel Lanzini sealed the win with a goal in the 90+4th minute, while Rodrigo had given Leeds the lead in the 17th minute.

Brighton & Hove Albion claimed a 3-1 win over Southampton. Evan Ferguson impressed with a brace in the 29th and 40th minutes, and Pascal Gross added a goal in the 69th minute. Mohamed Elyounoussi scored Southampton’s lone goal in the 58th minute.
Manchester City edged out Chelsea 1-0 thanks to Julian Alvarez’s early goal in a closely-fought encounter.
