Qualified directly from the CONMEBOL 3rd place finish
Winners in 1978, 1986
Coming in as silver medalist from the last World Cup, the 2018 World Cup is an opportunity for Argentina to go for the gold. This will be Argentina’s 17th participation in the World Cup. Argentina hasn’t missed a World Cup since 1970; winning their two titles within this period.

Iceland
Qualified directly from the UEFA – ‘Group I’ winner
This will be Iceland’s World Cup debut.
After an impressive run in their first major international football competition in the 2016 UEFA Championship, Iceland is looking to shake things up on the world stage.
Iceland is writing a very impressive story in international football. They secured direct qualification to the FIFA World Cup in a group that included Croatia, Ukraine, and Turkey.

Croatia
Qualified through play-offs from the UEFA
This will be Croatia’s 5th participation in the World Cup. Their last appearance was in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Missing out on the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, denied Croatia from making is 6 consecutive appearances in the competition. The talents in the midfield is what makes Croatia a formidable opposition.

Nigeria
Qualified directly from the CAF – ‘Group B’ winner
This will be Nigeria’s 6th participation. Their last appearance was in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
The talent is on hand for Nigeria to compete with the best in the world.
