The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations tournament qualification kicked off today.
There are 12 groups, and the top two teams from each group will qualify for the main event, scheduled to take place from December 2025 into mid-January 2026.
Despite automatic qualification as the host nation, Morocco is part of the qualification round of games. They are in Group B with the Central African Republic, Gabon, and Lesotho.

AFC WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS – THIRD ROUND
The first games of the third round of the AFC World Cup qualifiers saw Iran, the United Arab Emirates, and Uzbekistan start with wins in Group A. Bahrain and Japan secured victories in Group C, while Iraq was the only team to get a winning start in Group B.

CONMBEOL WORLD CUP QUALIERFIERS
Big home wins for Argentina and Bolivia on the day.

Four different goalscorers helped Bolivia secure their second win of the qualifiers, beating Venezuela 4-0.
Argentina played their first match since becoming Copa América champions, and they celebrated with a 3-0 win at home over Chile in their World Cup qualifiers. With no Lionel Messi, Paulo Dybala wore the No. 10 shirt. Dybala entered the game in the 79th minute and scored the final goal in the first minute of added time.

In the UEFA Nations League, Spain was the only away side to win, picking up a 4-1 victory in Switzerland. Croatia, Denmark, and Portugal were all winners at home.
