These marks made in the World Cup history might not get broken in the near future, but they are here to navigate the ambitions of current and up and coming players that are going to get the blessing of representing their home nation in a future World Cup …

Despite hosting the competition on two occasions, Brazil has won all their World Cup titles away from home. They are the only side to participate in all 21 World Cups.

Eight nations have won a World Cup title.
The CONMEBOL winners – Uruguay(2 titles), Argentina(2 titles), and Brazil(5 titles)
The UEFA winners – Italy(4 titles), Germany(4 titles), France(1 title), England(1 title), Spain(1 title)

Uruguay is the original winners of the competition. They played host and won in 1930.

Very patriotic!

Italy was the first team to win in a consecutive final, and the first to win on a foreign soil. Italy success made Vittorio Pozzo the first manager to win consecutive World Cup titles, and the only one to win two titles as a manager.

Germany has been successful in half of their World Cup final matches. (Winning in 1954, 1974, 1990 and 2014. Losing in 1966, 1982, 1986, and 2002)

Netherlands also happens to be the team to have played the most finals without winning the gold medal. The Dutch lost the final in 1974,1978, and in 2010.

For France and England, this was the only way they have managed to win the title. Uruguay won in 1930. Italy in 1934, England in 1966, Germany in 1974, Argentina in 1978, and France in 1998.

Germany has gotten two victories to ‘sandwich’ Argentina’s (1986, 1990, 2014)
