2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup Finale

July 26, 2017

United States     2-1     Jamaica

Jozy Altidore 45’                                     Je-Vaughn Watson 50’
Jordan Morris 88’

Congratulations to the USMNT!

United States won their 6th CONCACAF Gold Cup!

Jamaica did put up a good fight until the end. A late goal from Jordan Morris gave Jamaica a sample of the bad taste they left in the mouth of Mexican fans in the semifinal match.

Most fans expected this result when Jamaica shocked Mexico in the semifinals. CONCACAF Gold Cup title has been tossed between the United States and Mexico for most of its history.

For the neutral and Jamaican, an upset would have been exciting. Jamaica winning the title might have shown the rest of the CONCACAF that it is possible for non-North American sides can win the title.

With this success, United States can work on getting the team to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
