“Top Four” on the line – The Weenkend Bangers

Keep these fixtures safe

Borussia Dortmund vs Bayer Leverkusen (German Bundesliga)
The objective is to finish in the top four. There are enough matches left in the Bundesliga season for the likes of RB Leipzig, Hoffenheim, and Eintracht Frankfurt to finish the season in top four and seal a ticket to the 2017/18 UEFA Champions League.
Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen will both be planning on avoiding a defeat when they face each other. After a back-to-back ‘4-1’ league victories, Bayer Leverkusen could tighten their grip on third place in the league with a third consecutive league victory. History and home advantage give Borussia Dortmund a good chance of using this fixture as an opportunity to leapfrog Leverkusen, but losing Michy Batshuayi to injury and coming from a defeat to Schalke 04 makes this hard to call for both teams.  A point won’t hurt either side.

RB Leipzig vs Hoffenheim (German Bundesliga)
A victory for either side will get them closer to a top-four finish and allow the possibility to take advantage of the results from the ‘Borussia Dortmund vs Bayer Leverkusen’ fixture.

Juventus vs Napoli (Italian Serie A)
Napoli is the only team left to challenge Juventus for the 2017/18 Italian Serie A title.
Juventus impressive home record and support can push them closer to their 7th consecutive league title. Napoli’s midweek ‘4-1’ victory against Udinese in conjunction with Juventus ‘1-1’ draw against relegation-zoned Crotone, has given Napoli another chance in the season to close in on the league title. Victory for Napoli will reduce the gap between the two teams to a single point, while a home victory for Juventus will open a comfortable 7-point lead with just 12 points remaining in the season for each team.
for each team.

FC Barcelona vs Sevilla (Copa del Rey)
A title is up for grabs for one of these Spanish La Liga sides. Barcelona will go into the game as favorites but we know from history that ‘favorite’ means nothing in a knock-out match.
