This Weekend’s Top Fixtures.

Chelsea – Tottenham Hotspur (FA Cup)

April 22, 2017

It is a London Derby in the semifinal of the English FA Cup.

These two sides are also in a title race battle in the domestic league. There is a chance for these sides to win two domestic titles at the end of the season.  There is also local rivalry and pride on the line.

Fiorentina – Inter Milan (Italian Serie A)

April 22, 2017

8th-placed Fiorentina can move to just a point away from 7th-placed Inter Milan’s accumulated points over the season.

Inter needs a victory to bounce back from the late points dropped against AC Milan in the previous match.

In front of their home supporters, Fiorentina would not like to make it a third successive match without a victory.

Arsenal – Manchester City (FA Cup)

April 23, 2017

Both teams have fallen below their preseason expectations and a victory that will take a team to the FA Cup final will surely help right a lot of wrongs for the winning sides.

Real Madrid – Barcelona (Spanish La Liga)

April 23, 2017

El Clasico

Arguably the biggest match in the football world.

Real Madrid and Barcelona will meet each other to possibly decide the title race for the 2016/17 La Liga season.

Real Madrid will likely need just a point to keep themselves on course to a league title. The home crowd will make sure that is not a problem.

For Barcelona, the only acceptable result is a victory. This match is the only control Barcelona has on the title race.

Lyon – Monaco (French Ligue 1)

April 23, 2017

A fixture that could affect the Ligue 1 title race.

Lyon enjoyed a 3-1 away victory over Monaco in their first meeting of the season.

Monaco has found it hard to get a victory over Lyon in recent matches and that will need to change if Monaco intends to keep their grip on the league title.

Second-placed Paris Saint-Germain will have to defeat Montpellier to benefit if Monaco fails to secure maximum points.
