Manchester City is now two points off the top of the table, following a thrilling victory against Newcastle United. Aston Villa fell to third place after a scoreless draw with Everton, allowing Manchester City to move up to second. Manchester United and Tottenham shared the points in a 2-2 draw, keeping Tottenham in fifth place and provisionally lifting Manchester United to seventh.

Carlton Morris entered the game in the 74th minute and scored in the second minute of stoppage time, salvaging a 1-1 draw for Luton Town from a losing position against Burnley.

A West London derby victory for Chelsea over Fulham was secured by Cole Palmer’s penalty kick. Both teams had been defeated in their midweek EFL Cup semifinal matches, against Middlesbrough and Liverpool, respectively, but it was Chelsea who came out on top with three points.

Kevin De Bruyne entered the game in the 69th minute and scored the equalizing goal in the 74th minute for Manchester City, then assisted the game-winning goal in the 90th minute. Manchester City was on the brink of reducing the value of their game in hand at Newcastle, securing a win with a goal from Oscar Bobb in the first minute of added time. The result marked a fourth straight league defeat for Newcastle United.
