The weekend fixtures to jot down.

Italian Serie A

Derby della Mole – Juventus and Torino will meet in the first Turin Derby of the 2017/18 Italian Serie A season. Excluding the pride that comes with winning a local derby, both of teams have dreams to be included in the top end of the table finish at the end of the season.

German Bundesliga

Hoffenheim will be hoping to keep up with Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich by getting a consecutive league victory when Schalke 04 comes to visit. Schalke, on the other hand, will be looking to bounce back from their league defeat and possibly get a victory that will see them leap over Hoffenheim in the league standings.

As one of the preseason favorites, RB Leipzig finds themselves in the middle of the league table and tied in point with Eintracht Frankfurt. Both of these teams will have a chance to separate themselves from the other when they meet in the sixth round of the 2017/18 German Bundesliga.

English Premier League

After four competitive matches without a victory, it is looking like Liverpool is going cold after having a hot start to the season.  Liverpool will be making a quick return to Leicester after losing 2-0 to Leicester City on Tuesday in the EFL Cup. Will this be an opportunity for Liverpool to redeem themselves or add insult to injury?

On the other hand, Leicester City’s only league victory of the season came against newly promoted Brighton & Hove Albion.

Spanish La Liga

Atletico Madrid and Sevilla have started the season well by remaining undefeated after five matches. However, Sevilla has managed to win a match more than Atletico Madrid to separate the two sides in the league standings.  There is an opportunity for both sides to stamp their authority in this fixture. Atletico Madrid would not want to stain their new stadium (Wanda Metropolitano) by losing their second match there. Especially a match of this importance.
