Two Premier League winning sides will be involved in the opening fixture of the 2018/19 season. Manchester United can’t afford a slip up at home against a Leicester City side that has lost some key players over the summer.

French Ligue 1 season opener

2018/19 French Ligue 1 season opener. Last season’s fourth-place finisher Marseille will kick the season off with relegation survivor Toulouse.

Arsenal vs Manchester City
Manchester City is favorite to win the 2018/19 Premier League.
After a record-breaking season with Manchester City in the 2017/18 season, Pep Guardiola has another chance to guide his ‘Shark’ team to (at the very least) a repeat of their last season’s performance.

A new look for Arsenal
Arsenal is under new management for the first time in 22 years. After finishing 6th and 37 points away from Manchester City, it is Unai Emery’s prime objective to get Arsenal back in a space where they can be considered as real contenders for the Premier League title.

Arsenal wouldn’t want to start their season with a defeat at home, while Manchester City isn’t planning on starting their title defense on a bad note either.

Spanish Super Cup

Spanish Super Cup – Barcelona will be playing their 3rd consecutive Supercopa de Espana final when they take on Sevilla on August 12, 2018. Hopefully, we will get a glimpse of what the new signings have done to both teams.

German Super Cup

Niko Kovac got the better of his new club when he managed the opposition to a DFB-Pokal Cup final victory. Kovac would be asked to make amends with his new employers by guiding Bayern Munich to a successful DFL-Supercup final against Eintracht Frankfurt.
