The United States are two games away from a Copa America title.

USA is the first team to move on to the Semi-final of the Copa America Centenario after beating Ecuador. It was a match that United States loss major players for their Semifinal match, but that is a worry for later.

Clint Dempsey’s first-half goal put the Americans in a great position heading into halftime. A 22nd-minute header from the American was an important goal to calm any lingering nerves.

In the second half, Antonio Valencia and Jermaine Jones were sent off to make it a 10v10. Spaces were open on the pitch for both teams to play, and the team to advance will be the team to be hurt the most by the red card.

The lead was doubled by Gyasi Zardes in the 65th minute, and with the organization of the USMNT, you couldn’t see them blowing this lead at on home grounds.

Ecuador pulled a goal back to keep the fans at the edges of their seat. Had Ecuador taken advantage of their opportunities, they could have sent the match into penalties.

It is a great moment for US soccer. They are two matches away from a Copa America title. They wait for their next opposition to be decided by the Argentina v Venezuela match
