Weekend Domestic League Fixtures

Manchester City vs Everton (English Premier League)
What will be Manchester City’s response to losing their place at the top of the table alongside their ‘unbeaten’ status in the league?
Does Everton stand a chance at the Etihad against a Manchester City side that will be expected to give a deserving response to their defeat in the previous round to Chelsea?

Torino vs Juventus (Italian Serie A) – Turin Derby
Looking at the form of both teams and the fact that Torino hasn’t won in a Turin derby since 2015 (8 matches), there shouldn’t be much of a contest here. But Torino will do the rest of the Serie A a favor if they at least avoid defeat at home to Juventus.

Hoffenheim vs Borussia Monchengladbach (German Bundesliga)
Three points from their last three league matches; Hoffenheim could use a home victory to help the very slim possibility of getting in the top 4.
Borussia Monchengladbach can only guarantee to remain 2nd in the league standings if they avoid defeat at Hoffenheim. Fortunately for Monchengladbach, Hoffenheim seems not to find it difficult to win league matches in recent weeks.

Lyon vs Monaco (French Ligue 1)
If the fixture is not postponed. last season’s 3rd place teams will welcome the 2nd place team.
Unlike Lyon, Monaco is very far off from their pre-season expected position in the league standings.
To help in their relegation battle, Monaco will be searching for a win against a Lyon team that is also going to be making amends at home for their defeat to Rennes in the previous round.

Sevilla vs Girona (Spanish La Liga)
It was ‘1-0’ wins to Sevilla in both of their meeting in the 2017/18 season.
Sevilla will want to keep that trend going to avoid the risk of falling from the top spot to 4th within two matches.

Liverpool vs Manchester United (English Premier League)
Will Liverpool last another round at #1 in the Premier League?
The most decorated teams in England meet up for an English classic. It will be tragic for Liverpool to lose their unbeaten run in the league to their oldest rival and at Anfield.

Levante vs Barcelona (Spanish La Liga)
Barcelona suffered a ‘5-4’ defeat on their most recent visit to Levante. It was a result that denied Barcelona from going through the 2017/18 La Liga season unbeaten.
This time around, Barcelona will be hoping that the inclusion of Lionel Messi will give them the boost needed to get a victory that could potentially allow them to widen their lead at the top of the table.
