August 4: Feyenoord 0-1 PSV Eindhoven | Dutch Super Cup
August 6: Arsenal* 1-1 Manchester City | Community Shield Final
August 9: Benfica 2-0 Porto | Portuguese Super Cup
August 12: Bayern Munich 0-3 RB Leipzig | German Super Cup
August 16: Manchester City* 1-1 Sevilla | UEFA Super Cup

In January, 2024:
Paris St. Germain vs. Toulouse | French Super Cup
Italy and Spain have knockout semi final matches scheduled to be played in January.
Spain: Barcelona vs. Osasuna / Real Madrid vs. Atletico Madrid.
Italy: Napoli vs. Fiorentina / Inter Milan vs. Lazio

 

Manchester City narrowly avoided losing two super cups in a penalty shootout.
Arsenal, PSV Eindhoven, and RB Leipzig won the domestic super cups at the expense of the league winners, but Benfica followed their league title win by beating Porto to the Portuguese Super Cup.

August 4. 2023: Feyenoord 0-1 PSV Eindhoven | Dutch Super Cup
Noa Lang scored the only goal of teh match to hand PSV Einhdoven a win over Feyenoord in the Dutch Super Cup. On the the balance of play, it was a fair outcome.

August 6. 2023: Arsenal* 1-1 Manchester City | Community Shield Final
Leandro Trossard’s deflected shot in the 11th minute of added time allowed Arsenal to get the equalizing goal that forced a penalty shootout in the Community Shield Final with Manchester City. Arsenal won ‘4-1’ in the shootout.

August 9. 2023: Benfica 2-0 Porto | Portuguese Super Cup
Goals in quick succession after the hour mark gave Benfica a 2-goal lead that held till the final whistle to give them a win against Porto in the Supertaça.

August 12. 2023: Bayern Munich 0-3 RB Leipzig | German Super Cup
Dani Olmo scored a hattrick for RB Leipzig to take the German Super Cup from Bayern Munich.

August 16. 2023: Manchester City* 1-1 Sevilla | UEFA Super Cup
Nemanja Gudelj missed Sevilla’s 5th kick in a shootout to hand Manchester City their first UEFA Super Cup title.

 

The 2023 UEFA SUPER CUP FINAL

UEFA Champions League winners (Manchester City) vs. UEFA Europa League winners (Sevilla).

 

MANCHESTER CITY 1-1 SEVILLA
Youssef En-Nesyri gave Sevilla a lead to take to the break.
Cole Palmer scored to get Manchestster City level.
Manchester City win 5-4 in penalty shootout.
Nemanja Gudelj missed Sevilla’s 5th kick.

7 FINALS, ONE WIN: Sevilla was arguably the better side, and had they been more clinical up top, they would have been celebrating their second UEFA Super Cup final instead of suffering thier 6th Super Cup final defeat.

ONE FINAL, ONE WIN: Manchester City became the seventh English club to compete in the UEFA Super Cup, and the sixth English club to win it after coming from a goal down to get a draw, and edging Sevilla in the penalty shootout. Arsenal is the only English club that have played the UEFA Super Cup final without a winning one.
