Real Madrid and Real Betis are the only clubs with a 100% win start after three rounds of the 2022/23 Spanish La Liga season, but Barcelona, Athletic Club, and Villarreal are not far off. The five clubs remain unbeaten in the league.
Getafe picked up a point against Villarreal to leave Cadiz as the only team yet to register a point.
The shock result of the round was newly-promoted Almeria keeping Sevilla without a league win.

Iago Aspas’s 49th-minute goal was enough to get Celta Vigo their first win of the season through a 1-0 win at Girona.
Real Betis and Osasuna faced each other with a perfect winning record.
Borja Iglesias’s goal in the 34th minute extends Real Betis’s winning start to three games while ending Osasuna’s at two.
Mikel Merino failed to double Real Sociedad’s lead through a penalty in the 35th minute but luckily for his side, Brais Mendez’s goal in the 20th minute was enough to get them their second win of the season Real Sociedad bounced from defeat against Barcelona in the last round with a 1-0 win at Elche
Mallorca picked up their first win of the season after a 2-0 score in Madrid against Rayo Vallecano.
Almeria got their first victory of the season before Sevilla did.
Sevilla start their season without a win in their first three games after newly-promoted Almeria came from a goal down to beat them 2-1.
Getafe avoided three straight defeats by picking up a point from a goalless home draw with Villarreal. In doing so, Getafe denied Villarreal a third straight win.
It was as comfortable as it could be for Barcelona to win their first home win of the season through a 4-0 win against newly promoted Valladolid. Robert Lewandowski had two goals in the win.
It looked like Espanyol was going to take points from Real Madrid until Karim Benzema’s goals decided the tie.
Vinicius Junior’s scored in the 12th minute to give Real Madrid a lead that lasted till the tail of the first half when Joselu even the score to get Espanyol even on the score. Espanyol remains without a league win.
Athletic Club remained unbeaten by picking up their second win of the season through a 4-0 win against Cadiz. The result left Cadiz at the bottom of the standing with no point.
A deflected Antoine Griezmann shot gave Atletico Madrid a win to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat to Villarreal in the last round, while also handing Valencia a successive 1-0 defeat in the league.
