Barcelona’s lead in the Spanish La Liga title race grows to 8 points after picking up another win (against Sevilla), while Real Madrid dropped more points (defeat at Mallorca).
The occupants of the ‘top 4’ remain as it was at the start of the round but Barcelona was the only side to find three points in this round.
Real Madrid suffered a 1-0 defeat against Real Mallorca.
Real Sociedad was beaten at home by Real Valladolid.
Athletico Madrid lost a goal lead to drop points at home in a ‘1-1’ draw with Getafe.

Rayo Vallecano used a ‘2-0’ win in the final game of the round to move up two positions to 5th.
Villarreal dropped a position to 6th after a 3-1 defeat to bottom-tabled Elche.

Oihan Sancet scored three goals in Athletic Clubis win against Cadiz.
Sancet scored the game-winning goal after his match-opening goal was canceled in the 25th minute by Gonzalo Escalante.

Pere Milla’s hattrick got bottom Elche their first win of the La Liga season.

Gabriel Veiga scored the last goal of the first half and the first goal of the second half to help Celta Vigo get three points from a 7-goal match with Real Betis. It finished ‘4-3’ for Celta Vigo to pick up consecutive league victories while Real Betis followed their defeat at Barcelona with a home defeat.

Predrag Rajkovic kept Mallorca’s lead when he saved Marco Asensio’s penalty in the 63rd minute and added another dent to Real Madrid’s title defense season. Real Madrid is beaten ‘1-0’ by Mallorca.

Girona followed a ‘1-0’ home defeat against Barcelona with a ‘1-0’ home win against Valencia. It marked the third straight league defeat for a Valencia side that is without a win in their last 6 league games.

It took almost an hour for Barcelona to open the scoring for the match and pick up the three points to take the maximum advantage of Real Madrid’s defeat at Mallorca. Jordi Alba opened the scoring in the 58th minute, Gavi doubled Barcelona’s lead in the 70th minute, and Raphinha closed the scoring in the 79th minute to hand Barcelona a 3-0 win at home against a relegation-threatened Sevilla.
