2021 COPA LIBERTADORES

Since the finale stopped being a two-legged fixture, only Brazilian clubs have been the champions; and it doesn’t look likely to change this year.

2019 – Flamengo
2020 – Palmeiras

There will be a Brazilain club team in the final of the 2021 Copa Libertadores final, and we will have an all-Brazil final if Ecuador’s Barcelona SC does not make it past the semifinal against Flamengo.

5 OF THE 8 QUARTERFINALISTS WERE BRAZILIAN CLUBS, AND THERE ARE 3 of the 5 LEFT IN THE FINAL 4; WITH THE TWO MOST RECENT CHAMPIONS AVAILABLE TO CONTEND FOR THIS SEASONS COPA LIBERTADORES TITLE. {Flamengo and Palmeiras}

2021 SEMIFINALISTS : PALMEIRAS (BRAZIL), ATLETICO MINEIRO (BRAZIL), FLAMENGO (BRAZIL), BARCELONA SC (ECUADOR)

Barcelona SC has never won it but came close in 1990 and in 1998. Could this be their first?
Atletico Mineiro won the title for the first time in 2013. Can they double it in 2021?
Palmeiras and Flamengo are both looking for their third Copa Libertadores title.
Palmeiras will be making it a consecutive title wins if they are to achieve this objective.

Flamengo – 2 titles
Palmeiras – 2 titles
Atletico Mineiro – 1 title
Barcelona SC – 0 titles
