The playoffs in the AFC and the OFC for the 2018 FIFA World Cup

Four more games in front of a Syrian national team that is trying to book a place in the FIFA World Cup for the first time in their history. Syria will have to make it out of the two-legged AFC third round playoff against Australia before going on to play another two-legged draw with the fourth-placed team from the CONCACAF qualifiers.

Australia has to travel the same journey to get to the 2018 World Cup. They’ve been represented in the FIFA World Cup on four occasions and will be looking to make it a fourth consecutive time in the competition by getting the results in the final four matches in their qualifiers journey.

In the OFC, New Zealand is waiting in the inter-confederation playoffs for the 5th-place team in the CONMEBOL.
