First Round of the Champions League matches are over.

There is plenty of football left to be played.

Defending champions Liverpool lost their opening day match after falling ‘2-0’ against Napoli in Naples.

Ajax’s 3-0 win over Lille make them the only semi-finalist from last season’s competition to get the maximum points from their opening match.

RB Salzburg’s Erling Braut Haland became the third youngest player to score a Champions League hattrick. His three goals helped RB Salzburg to a ‘6-2’ win against Genk.

Chelsea lose their opening match at home to Valencia.

Borussia Dortmund had to settle for a point at home against Barcelona after failing to convert the numerous goal scoring opportunities. It was a goalless draw between the two.

Tottenham blew a 2 goal lead to leave Olympiacos with a draw.

Angel Di Maria carries Paris St. Germain to a ‘3-0’ win over Real Madrid.

Atletico Madrid fights from two goals down to avoid defeat to Juventus.
