Two goals in the opening 30 minutes were enough for Inter Milan to follow up their win against Juventus with a 2-0 home win over Hellas Verona. The points from Inter Milan’s win came in handy after AC Milan’s failure to win against Torino.

AC Milan couldn’t do enough in Turin to get a win against Torino.
A back-to-back goalless draw in the league has left AC Milan exposed and vulnerable at the top of the Serie A standings with a 2-point lead that can be wiped away if Inter Milan picks up a win from their game in hand.

Fiorentina went to Naples and denied Napoli the points needed to impact the title race. A 3-2 win for Fiorentina kept them unbeaten in their last 5 league matches (3 wins and 2 draws). Napoli would’ve been top of the table if they had managed a win at home against Fiorentina.

Juventus came from a goal down against Cagliari to get a 2-1 win that avoided successive league defeats after getting their unbeaten run ended in the last round against Inter Milan.

Ciro Immobile added three goals to send his tally for the season to 24 goals. Immobile’s goals helped Lazio to a 4-1 win at Genoa.

Two goals in the final 10 minutes of regulation time allowed Roma to come from a goal down and avoid a humiliating defeat at home to bottom tabled Salernitana.
