Juventus dropped points in Genoa after Albert Gudmundsson scored in the second minute of the second half to cancel Juventus’ first-half lead earned through Federico Chiesa’s goal from the penalty spot in the 28th minute. The result was fitting based on the balance of play, but more was expected of Juventus considering the positional gap in the league standings and the form of both teams.

Lecce earned their first victory in 12 matches, which included 11 league games, when they scored a goal in the 89th minute against Frosinone to win the game 2-1.

With a header, Victor Osimhen opened the scoring for the match. He then assisted Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in scoring the game-winning goal for Napoli to seal three points at home in a 2-1 victory over Cagliari. Osimhen put Napoli ahead in the 69th minute, but Leonardo Pavoletti equalized for Cagliari three minutes later. Kvaratskhelia restored Napoli’s lead three minutes after that. A win for Napoli to end back-to-back league defeats.

Duvan Zapata scored the game-winning goal for the second time in the last three games, helping Torino pick up three points. Zapata’s goal in the 25th minute secured Torino a ‘1-0’ win over Empoli.

AC Milan took the lead in the third minute and were more clinical in front of goal, defeating Monza 3-0. The margin of defeat was arguably greater than Monza deserved, but that is how football sometimes plays out.

Milan Djuric’s missed penalty in the third minute would have given Hellas Verona the lead, and the miss came back to haunt them as Lucas Beltran scored the game’s only goal in the 78th minute to give Fiorentina the win.

Udinese lost two points at home to Sassuolo in a 2-2 draw after having a two-goal lead. Roberto Pereyra scored Udinese’s second goal in the 55th minute, after Lorenzo Lucca had given them the lead in the first half. However, Martin Payero was sent off for Udinese less than five minutes later, leaving them with 10 men to defend their two-goal advantage. Sassuolo scored two penalties in the final quarter of the match, both scored by Domenico Berardi, to level the score. The result was a fair reflection of the game, with Sassuolo maintaining their three-point lead over Udinese.

Bologna and Roma were separated by goal difference at the start of the game, with both knowing that a winner would finish the round in the ‘top four’. Bologna won ‘2-0’.
Inter Milan earned three points from Rome by defeating Lazio 2-0. Lautaro Martinez scored the opening goal, which proved to be the game-winner, and increased his goal tally to 15.

Atalanta staged a comeback from a first half goal deficit, netting four goals in the second half to secure a ‘4-1’ victory over Salernitana.
