ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE
LIVERPOOL vs BURNLEY
Liverpool moves from a 3- 0 win at Norwich to host Burnley for their first match at Anfield for the
season. Burnley’s season started as a 2-1 defeat to Brighton.
MANCHESTER CITY vs NORWICH CITY
Manchester City and Norwich City both kicked off their season with a defeat. For newly-promoted Norwich City, the defeat against Liverpool was explainable. For defending champions Manchester City, defeat to Tottenham in the first match of the season is unacceptable.
SOUTHAMPTON vs MANCHESTER UNITED
Manchester United will look to build on the start they had by grabbing another win. They will travel to face a Southampton side that started their season on a 3-1 defeat to Everton.
WOLVES vs TOTTENHAM
Tottenham took Manchester City and won. Their new manager Nuno Espirito Santo is Wolves’ former manager.
Espirito Santo goes back to Molineux Stadium to face a Wolves side that is looking to bounce back from their opening day defeat at Leicester.
ARSENAL VS CHELSEA
A London Derby. After an opening day defeat to Brentford, Arsenal has to take on Chelsea. Arsenal completed a league double against Chelsea last season. Chelsea’s last win in this fixture was in December 2019.
With that said, Chelsea will be the clear favorite in this tie.
GERMAN BUNDESLIGA
WINNERS OF THE FIRST ROUND – Stuttgart, Hoffenheim, Dortmund, FC Koln, Mainz, Wolfsburg
RB LEIPZIG vs STUTTGART
Stuttgart is top of the table and will remain there if they pick up another win. RB Leipzig is coming into this fixture after a defeat in the opening round to Mainz.
LEVERKUSEN vs MONCHENGLADBACH
These two kicked off the new Bundesliga season with points dropped. Leverkusen to Union Berlin, and Monchengladbach to Bayern.
HERTHA BERLIN vs WOLFSBURG
After a narrow 1-0 win against newly promoted Bochum, Wolfsburg goes to Berlin to try and double their success.
FREIBURG vs DORTMUND
Dortmund started their season with three points but a midweek defeat in the German Super Cup means they have to bounce back with a win at Freiburg.
HOFFENHEIM vs UNION BERLIN
A 4- 0 win at Augsburg should keep Hoffenheim’s morale high when they kick off their first home game of the season against Union Berlin.
BAYERN MUNICH vs FC KOLN
Despite defeat in their opening match of the season, a German Super Cup win on Tuesday should be the boost to get Bayern Munich their first win of the season. They play an FC Koln team that started their season off on a 3-1 victory against Hertha Berlin.
FRENCH LIGUE 1
Angers, Clermont Foot, and Paris St. Germain are on a perfect start.
BREST vs PARIS ST. GERMAIN
PSG will kick off the round in search of their third win from their opening three matches of their Ligue 1 season. They will be facing a Brest team that is looking at a third defeat in their opening three matches of the season.
MONACO vs LENS
Monaco are without a league victory. They go into this game on the back of a league defeat to Lorient and a midweek defeat in the first leg of the Champions League qualifying match against Shakhtar Donetsk. Lens are also searching for their first win of the season. It has been draws so far.
SAINT-ETIENNE vs LILLE
The title defense is not going to plan for Lille. We thought winning the French Super Cup was the sign of things to come for Lille. So far, it has been a narrow draw against Metz and a thrashing at home against Nice. Saint-Etienne has been involved in two draws so far. Let us see if one side will get their first win of the season from this fixture.
LYON vs CLERMONT FOOT
Newly promoted Clermont Foot have a 100% winning start to their season, while Lyon is without a win.
Lyon will host Clermont Foot. The home team will want to do more than stopping Clermont’s winning run; they need a win.
NICE vs MARSEILLE
Four points each after two games played. Nice is coming into this match after handing the defending champions (Lille) a 4-0 thrashing while Marseille was involved in a draw with Bordeaux.

Athletic Club started their season with a goalless draw at Elche. They go home to host Barcelona for their first home game of the season. Barcelona are coming to this match after a 4-2 win in their opening round against Real Sociedad.
REAL SOCIEDAD vs RAYO VALLECANO
After a defeat against Barcelona, Real Sociedad will want to use the opportunity of playing a newly-promoted team to make up for the points dropped.
ATLETICO MADRID vs ELCHE
Their title defense started with a win. Atletico Madrid will see to double their win in their first home match of the season. They host Elche
LEVANTE vs REAL MADRID
Real Madrid had a strong start through a 4-1 win at Alaves They play away again; against a Levante side that kicked their season off with a draw at Cadiz. Real Madrid’s first three games of the season will be away from home.
GETAFE vs SEVILLA
Getafe opened the season with Valencia and suffered a defeat in that. They host a Sevilla side that started their season 3- 0 winners

Atalanta will start their season in Turin. The goal should be to secure Champions League football again.

Jose Mourinho’s Roma will start their season at home against Fiorentina.
