Bochum and Mainz remain winless after sharing the points in a 2-2 draw. Kevin Schlotterbeck scored the equalizing goal for Mainz to make it 1-1, before scoring in the 82nd minute to give his Bochum side the lead. However, Mainz got an equalizing goal in the final minute of the game, resulting in a 2-2 draw at Bochum.

Augsburg found two goals in the second half to restore their lead and pick up a 4-2 win at home against Wolfsburg. This came after Wolfsburg came from a goal down to take a 2-1 lead into the halftime break.

Harry Kane scored a hat-trick as Bayern Munich beat newly-promoted Darmstadt 8-0, with all eight goals coming in the second half. The first half was filled with bookings, with three players receiving red cards: Joshua Kimmich for Bayern Munich, Klaus Gjasula, and Matek Maglica for Darmstadt.

Jonas Fohrenbach’s own-goal decided the game in Monchengladbach’s favor. Borussia Monchengladbach won their second league game of the season with a 2-1 victory against recently-promoted Heidenheim.

No Sehrou Guirassy, no win for Stuttgart. It might have been against the run of play, but Stuttgart fell 3-2 at home against Hoffenheim. Deniz Undav scored in the second half, but his failure to convert a penalty kick into an equalizing goal in the first half ended up costing Stuttgart points.

A 2-0 defeat in Bremen was Union Berlin’s 10th straight defeat (7 league games). The result also allowed Werder Bremen to end a run of three defeats.

It was unlikely but FC Köln were hoping to build on their first win of the season (3-1) against Borussia Mönchengladbach. RB Leipzig got the job done in the first half by taking a 4-0 lead, resulting in a 6-0 win against struggling FC Koln.

Dortmund did enough to avoid defeat but not enough to secure a victory. The match ended in a ‘3-3’ draw in Frankfurt, with Dortmund coming from two goals down, falling behind again, and then equalizing. Dortmund remains unbeaten after a 3-3 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Leverkusen stayed undefeated and retained the top spot by defeating Freiburg ‘2-1’.
