The occupants of the ‘top 4’ positions on the league table kept their positions but Union Berlin was the only winner.
Union Berlin’s lead at the top of the German Bundesliga standings grew by 2 points after they managed a 1-0 win at Stuttgart in the final match of the round, while Freiburg, Bayern Munich, and Borussia Dortmund dropped points in a draw.
Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich played a 2-2 draw against each other in Der Klassiker, while Freiburg picked a point from a 2-2 draw in Berlin (against Hertha Berlin).

Werder Bremen moved up three positions to 5th after their 2-1 win at Hoffenheim.

The relegation avoidance race just got tighter after bottom-tabled Bochum won their first match of the season in a 3-0 home victory against Frankfurt.
Frankfurt dropped two positions down (to 8th) after that defeat.

Leverkusen used a 4-0 win against Schalke to move out of the ‘bottom three’, while stuffing Schalke into the mix.
The best RB Leipzig could do is a point against Mainz. The two teams remain even on points.
