Osasuna kicked off the opening game of the Spanish La Liga season with a 2-1 win against Sevilla

Joselu scored the equalizing goal in the 8th minute of the final added time to see Celta Vigo blow a 2-goal lead at home to drop two points in a 2-2 draw with Espanyol.

Villarreal take 3 points from 3 goals after Alex Baena added two goals in the final 10 minutes of regulation time to the 49th-minute lead Nicolas Jackson had given them in their season opener against Valladolid.

It wasn’t expected but Barcelona kicked off their season at home by dropping two points in a goalless draw with Rayo Vallecano.

Takefusa Kubo’s goal in the 24th minute was enough for Real Sociedad to leave Cadiz with three points from a 1-0 win.

Carlos Soler converted a penalty in the added minutes of the first half to get Valencia a 1-0 lead that was protected by 10 men from the 52nd minute to the final whistle.

David Alaba’s first act after entering the game was to score the winning goal (from a freekick) for Real Madrid to come from a goal down to win their opening match of the new season. Lucas Vazquez had scored the equalizing goal for Real Madrid at the hour mark after it looked like an upset was brewing when newly promoted Almeria took a 1-0 lead into the halftime break against defending champions Real Madrid.

Atletico Madrid’s season started with three points on the road.
Joao Felix assisted all of Atletico Madrid’s goals in their 3-0 win against Getafe. Alvaro Morata scored a brace before Antoine Griezmann added the final goal.

Mallorca held on against Athletic Club to get a point from a goalless draw to start their new season.

Juanmi scored two goals as Real Betis kicked off their season with a 3-0 win against Elche in a round where Sevilla kicked off the season with a 2-1 defeat.
