The final 16 teams left in the 2021/22 Copa del Rey is made up of 13 clubs from La Liga, 2 clubs from Segunda Division, and one Primera RFEF.
The four participants of the Supercopa de Espana have all advanced to the Round of 16 (Athletic Club, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, and Real Madrid).
Celta Vigo, Osasuna, and Villarreal were the only top-flight teams to be eliminated in this round.

Girona and Sporting de Gijon were the two Segunda clubs that advanced at the expense of La Liga clubs (Osasuna and Villarrea), while third tier Primera RFEF side Atletico Baleares eliminaed Celta Vigo.
