Goalkeeper Anthony Lopes conceded a penalty and a red card to end up cutting Lyon’s lead in half, handing them the task of protecting a goal lead with a numerical disadvantage.

Monaco took three points from Strasbourg through a narrow 2-1 win.

Paris St. Germain kicked off their title defense season with a 5- 0 win against Clermont.
