Manchester City leads the way by a point with a game in hand after defeating Leeds United, while Arsenal stayed in the title race with a 2-0 win over Newcastle. The top four positions remained unchanged, with the top two winning and the bottom two losing.
Liverpool is one point behind the top four after their win over Brentford was matched by Manchester United’s loss to West Ham. Brighton’s loss to Everton dropped them to seventh place, but they have two games in hand on sixth-place Tottenham to close the two-point gap. Chelsea moved into the bottom half of the league table (11th) after defeating Bournemouth.
Everton moved out of the relegation zone with a 5-1 victory over Brighton. Everton and Nottingham Forest’s victories pushed Leeds United and Leicester City into the relegation zone, while also relegating Southampton.
Southampton has been relegated from the Premier League after losing to Nottingham Forest.

Chelsea scored multiple goals to claim their first victory in ten games (7 league games). Chelsea’s 3-1 win at Bournemouth ended a run of six defeats (4 in the league).
Toti Gomes scored the game’s only goal in the ninth minute, giving Wolves a 1-0 victory over Aston Villa at home. Aston Villa has lost consecutive league games after going unbeaten for ten games (8 wins).
Ilkay Gundogan missed a penalty that would have given him a hat trick, but his two goals were enough to earn Manchester City three points against Leeds United.
Tottenham won their first five league games (3 defeats) thanks to Harry Kane’s goal.
Mohamed Salah’s goal allowed Liverpool to secure the maximum points at home against Brentford.
Arsenal maintains pressure on Manchester City while distancing themselves from Newcastle United in the table. Martin Odegaard’s strike in the 14th minute settled any nerves Arsenal may have had at the start.
Manchester United’s Champions League qualification chances are seriously undermined after a 1-0 loss to West Ham in London. It was West Ham’s first league win in four games, which was a crucial victory for a team battling relegation. West Ham defeated Manchester United thanks to Said Benrahma’s game-winning goal (which should have been saved).
On paper, Harvey Barnes’ brace helped Leicester City lose to Fulham gracefully, but it did nothing to help their relegation battle. Willian and Tom Cairney each scored twice as Fulham raced to a 5-0 lead by the 51st minute. Leicester City were defeated 5-3.
Relegation is now a possibility for Leicester City. Everton did the unexpected and did it exceptionally well by traveling to Brighton and coming away with three points from a 5-1 victory over a Brighton & Hove Albion side vying for a spot in continental cup competition next season. Everton’s Abdoulaye Doucoure scored in the first minute before netting the game-winning goal in the 29th minute. At halftime, Everton led 3-0.
Southampton has been relegated after ending up on the wrong side of a 4-3 scoreline against Nottingham Forest.
