Manchester United 3-1 Arsenal


Tottenham and Brighton moved closer to the top of the league after both Arsenal and Manchester City dropped points. Arsenal lose their winning streak but remain top of the table because Manchester City was held to a draw by Aston Villa.

Manchester United is now three points from the top of the league.
Chelsea moved up 4 positions to 6th after narrowly escaping with a win against West Ham.
Liverpool dropped to 7th after sharing points with Everton in a goalless Merseyside derby.

Everton and Leicester City are the two teams without a win, but Leicester City is the team at the bottom of the league table with just a point accumulated.

There are 33 rounds left of the Premier League season.

Everton and Liverpool had their chances to win the Merseyside derby but goalkeeping heroics saved the day for both teams. It was a deserved point for both sides but it does little to their pre-season ambitions as things stand. Liverpool is falling further away from the top of the table, while Everton is going into the 7 round of the season without a win.

Kai Havertz’s 88th-minute winning goal completed the comeback for Chelsea to bounce from a 2-1 defeat at Southampton with a 2-1 win against West Ham. A questionable call by VAR allowed Chelsea came out of the tie with three points after Maxwell Cornet’s equalizing goal in the 90th minute was chopped off for some contact with goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

A 2-0 first-half lead was not enough to get Nottingham Forest a win a home win.
Bournemouth recovered in the second half with three goals to pick up a 3-2 win against Nottingham Forest.
Jaidon Anthony entered the game in the 85th minute and scored Bournemouth’s game-winning goal two minutes later.

Ivan Toney’s hattrick laid the foundation for a 5-2 Brentford win against Leeds.

Goals from Pierre Emile Hojbjerg and Harry Kane led Tottenham to a 2-1 win against Fulham.

Wolves picked up their first win of the season after a 1-0 win against a Southampton side that was coming from a 2-1 win against Chelsea.

Many had expected Manchester City to come out of their tie against Aston Villa with the maximum points from a win by a large margin. Aston Villa fought hard enough to get a point from a 1-1 draw.

A decision by VAR denied Alexis Mac Allister from a hattrick; and Brighton from a 6-2 win.
Brighton followed a 2-1 defeat at Fulham with a 5-2 win to keen Leicester City at the bottom of the league standings without a win.
Going up a goal in the first minute did not stop Leicester City from dropping more points om the league. Brighton scored all the second-half goals after the first half ended in a 2-2 draw.

Arsenal’s winning streak ended at Old Trafford.
Manchester United win four games on the bounce by ending Arsenal’s perfect winning start to the Premier League season.
Antony debuted for Manchester United by scoring the opening goal of the match to send them into the halftime break with a 1-0 lead that was canceled by Bukayo Saka’s goal in the 60th minute.
It took six minutes after Arsenal got their leveler for Marcus Rashoford to score the game-winning goal from a quick counter-attacking play.
Another quick counterattack allowed Rashford to double his goals and Manchester United’s lead in the 75th minute to kill off the game.
