PREMIER LEAGUE
It was three points for the teams in the ‘top four’ that played.

MATCH RESULTS
Manchester City 6-3 Leicester City
Norwich City 0-5 Arsenal
Tottenham 3-0 Crystal Palace
West Ham 2- 3 Southampton
Aston Villa 1-3 Chelsea
Brighton 2-0 Brentford
Newcastle 1-1 Manchester United

MANCHESTER CITY 6-3 LEICESTER CITY
Manchester City went four goals up in the opening 25 minutes but Leicester City made things interesting with three goals in a 10-minute span in the second half.

Raheem Sterling’s 25th-minute goal from the penalty spot ended up being the winning goal but Aymeric Laporte’s goal in the 69th minute was necessary to calm down the nerves of Manchester City.

It looked like Manchester City was about to blow a four-goal lead when Kelechi Iheanacho scored Leicester City’s third goal (after assisting the opening two).

NORWICH 0-5 ARSENAL
Three home defeats to make it four successive league defeats for Norwich.
That is 6 games without a win in the league.

Granted it has been coming against teams they are expected to beat, this was the 4th straight league win for Arsenal.

WEST HAM 2-3 SOUTHAMPTON
Southampton’s first win in 7 games.
West Ham came from a goal down on two occasions before Jan Bednarek scored the winning goal for Southampton to take the three points.
West Ham goes three games without a win in the league.

ASTON VILLA 1-3 CHELSEA
The defeat against Chelsea meant Aston Villa’s most recent defeats have been against the top three teams.
Romelu Lukaku’s goal and Jorginho’s brace from the penalty spot got Chelsea from behind to win away against Aston Villa.

BRIGHTON 2- 0 BRENTFORD
Brighton opened a three-point lead on Brentford.
Brighton’s first win in the league since their 2-1 win against Leicester City. (11 games between the fixtures)

NEWCASTLE UNITED 1-1 MANCHESTER UNITED
David De Gea’s goalkeeping heroics and a converted chance from Edinson Cavani saved Manchester United a point to deny Newcastle their second league win of the season.
