Empoli’s goalkeeper made a poor attempt to punch the ball out from a corner kick, allowing Federico Bonazzoli to score the lone goal of the game. This secured Hellas Verona a victorious start to their season against Empoli. Bonazzoli thus becomes the first goal scorer of the season.

Victor Osimhen initiated the season with a brace, helping Napoli overcome an early deficit to claim a ‘3-1’ away victory against newly-promoted Frosinone.

Fiorentina enjoyed a comfortable start, carrying a ‘3-0’ advantage into halftime and ultimately sealing a ‘4-1’ away triumph against Genoa.

Lautaro Martinez’s goals propelled Inter Milan to a ‘2-0’ victory against Monza.

Andrea Belotti and Antonio Candreva ensured their teams secured a point from the opening round. Belotti notched two goals for Roma: the first to give them the lead and the second to salvage them from defeat. Meanwhile, Candreva’s two goals for Salernitana – the first to level the score and the second to secure the lead – proved crucial.

In the final 10 minutes of regulation time, Atalanta clinched a victory over Sassuolo. Goals from second-half substitutes Charles De Ketelaere and Nadir Zortea sealed the win.

Ciro Immobile’s 26th-minute strike provided Lazio an early lead against Lecce. However, it wasn’t enough for Lazio to start with a victory, as Lecce netted two goals in quick succession (85th and 87th minutes) for a 2-1 triumph.

Juventus had a promising start to both the game and the season. Federico Chiesa scored in the opening two minutes, while Dusan Vlahovic and Adrien Rabiot each added a goal. The team entered halftime with a commanding ‘3-0’ lead, which they maintained against Udinese.

The clash between Torino and Cagliari resulted in an eventful goalless draw.

Christian Pulisic scored on his debut, and goals from Olivier Giroud and Pulisic propelled AC Milan to a ‘2-0’ win against Bologna, marking a positive start to their season.
