Stuttgart escaped relegation playoffs and relegated Arminia Bielefeld with a 2-1 win over FC Koln.
Hertha Berlin dropped into the relegation playoff spot after a 2-1 defeat at Dortmund.

The top four teams remained intact.
RB Leipzig got the point needed to guarantee a top-four finish but it wasn’t needed on the day because Freiburg was on the losing end of a 2-1 score against Leverkusen.
Freiburg’s defeat cost them 5th place and the qualification for the Europa League after Union Berlin took 5th place with a 3-2 win against Bochum.
