Spanish La Liga after three rounds: A big win for Atletico Madrid, while Real Madrid leads the race.

 

Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, and Girona are joined by Real Madrid as the unbeaten teams in the league, but it is Real Madrid as the only team with a perfect winning record of three wins from three.

Sevilla is stuck at the bottom of the table as the only team in the league without a point.
From the newly-promoted clubs, Granda picked up a win, Las Palmas took a point from a draw, while Alaves suffered defeat.

Real Sociedad and Las Palmas both remain winless after settling for a point in a goalless draw.

Four goals in 3 games for Bellingham.
Jude Bellingham continues to shine for Real Madrid, finding the net in all of their matches so far. Impressively, in two of the three league games, his goals secured victory. Bellingham’s solitary goal against Celta Vigo secured another league victory for Real Madrid.

Almeria managed a late equalizer to salvage a draw against Cadiz, securing their first league point this season.

Granada secured their first win of the season by defeating Mallorca, who are still seeking their first victory.

Sevilla’s season has been a mix of disappointment, including a UEFA Super Cup defeat where they led for most of the match, and three consecutive losses in the La Liga opening matches. A ‘2-1’ home defeat to Girona is Sevilla’s latest result. Girona remains unbeaten.

Despite blowin a 2-goal lead, Barcelona finished on the right side of a ‘4-3’ score line to win three points away against Villarreal. – He didn’t get on the score sheet but Lamin Yamal was possibly the most instrumental part in Barcelona’s success in this fixture.

Nacho Vidal’s acrobatic overhead kck in the 6th minute of the final added time resotred Osasuna’s lead and gave them a ‘2-1’ away win over Valencia. A second league win for Osasuna and a first league defeat for Valencia.

Despite a 2-goal lead in the first 10 minutes, Real Betis was at the wrong end of a ‘4-2’ score against Athletic Club. Mikel Vesga scored from the penalty spot on two occasions to cancel out the lead that Willian Jose and Isco had given Real Betis. Gorka Guruzeta scored the game winning goal at the end of the first half to send Athletic Club into the break ‘3-2’ up. Unai Gomez scored the only goal of the second half to hand Athletic Club a ‘4-2’ win, and Real Betis’s first defeat of the season.

Borja Mayoral converted a penalty into the winning goal for Getafe to gain their first maximum points of the season through a ‘1-0’ home win over Alaves.

The round ended with Atletico Madrid hammering Rayo Vallecano ‘7-0’. Memphis Depay scored a goal before walking out with an injury. His replacement, Alvaro Morata scored two goals in Atletico Madrid’s win.
