Rayo Vallecano did enough for a win against Valencia but failed to convert their chances.
MALLORCA 0-0 GETAFE
Getafe followed a 4- 0 win against Cadiz with a goalless draw with a Mallorca team that is now seven straight matches without a win.
VILLARREAL 1-3 BARCELONA
The goals came late for Barcelona to restore their lead and pick up successive league wins for the first time [this season].
REAL BETIS 3-1 LEVANTE
Juan mi scored a second-half hattrick to get Real Betis from a losing position to a home win against Levante.
Levante remains without a win.
ESPANYOL 1-0 REAL SOCIEDAD
Yangel Herrera’s shot was deflected into the net to get Espanyol a win at home against Real Sociedad.
CADIZ 1-4 ATLETICO MADRID
The goals came in the second half for Atletico Madrid to win 4-1 at Cadiz.
REAL MADRID 2-1 SEVILLA
Vinicius Junior’s goal in the 87th minute allowed Real Madrid to come from a goal down to beat Sevilla.
Sevilla played well enough for a point but Vinicius Junior had other ideas.
