RB Leipzig scored five goals in the second half to overcome a ‘1-0’ first-half deficit and earn their first league win of the season at home against Stuttgart. Stuttgart was coming off a 5-0 win over Bochum, while Leipzig was coming off a 3-2 loss at Leverkusen. And for a lot of the first half, it looked like Stuttgart was going to come away with another league win while Leipzig fell for the second game running.

Dortmund displayed their fighting spirit to secure a win in their season opener at home against FC Koln. That determination continued in their first away game, resulting in a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Bochum. Once again, Donyell Malen found the net for Dortmund, but this time, it was only enough to earn them a single point.

Union Berlin followed a ‘4-1’ win with another, as they picked up a ‘4-1’ win in Darmstadt after kicking off their season at home with a ‘4-1’ win over Mainz.

Heidenheim’s Jan-Niklas Beste missed an early penalty opportunity in the 16th minute but later redeemed himself with a challenging direct free-kick goal, giving Heidenheim the lead. Despite holding a 2-0 advantage with a quarter of regulation time remaining, Heidenheim ultimately suffered a ‘3-2’ defeat to Hoffenheim.

Just like in their season opener, Jonas Wind scored the two goals for Wolfsburg to win their match. Wolfsburg followed a ‘2-0’ home win against Heidenheim with a ‘2-1’ win in Cologne.

Freiburg secured a late winner, doubling their wins and compounding Werder Bremen’s losses. Maximilian Philipp, who entered the game in the 61st minute, scored the sole goal in the 96th minute of added time, giving Freiburg a victory over Werder Bremen.

Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface netted a goal in each half as they comfortably defeated Monchengladbach, adding another win to their record.

A goal in the first minute of the final added minutes saved a 10-man Eintracht Frankfurt from their first league defeat of the season, while denying Mainz their first league win of the season.

Harry Kane scored a brace as Bayern Munich moved on to another league win with a ‘3-1’ home victory against Augsburg.
