We expected a close game and that is what we got. A second half goal from Massimo Gobbi gave Chievo Verona a home win over Cagliari.

Lorenzo Insigne scored a brace the second half to give Napoli an away win over Udinese.

A Juventus win! We didn’t expect the results to go any other way.

A home win for Juventus strengthened their bid to defend the league title.

The title defense is going as planned for Juventus after beating newly promoted Pescara.

It was a second half that should be rewatched.

A five-goal thriller in the second half fixture between Sampdoria and Sassuolo finished with the home team coming out on top after an amazing finish to the match.

Sampdoria came from two goals down to score three late goals to get the maximum points from the match. The win stretched their lead over Sassuolo to five points in the league standings.

It is now five winless league matches for Sassuolo.

A much-deserved home win for Atalanta took their winning streak in the league to 5 matches and a streak of 8 undefeated matches.

Roma dropped points at Atalanta to widen the gap between themselves and Juventus at the top of the league standings.

Atalanta came from a goal down to get a much-deserved  victory in this fixture. Their second half efforts were eventually paid off when a sloppy tackle on Alejandro Gomez in the penalty box awarded Atalanta a penalty opportunity to get the winning goal.

The losing streak for Palermo extended to six matches.

It was another defeat for Palermo as they blew an early lead to allow Bologna to come  from behind and get a home win.

Newly promoted Crotone can’t catch a break and started another losing streak after recently getting off one.

Andrea Belotti scored a late brace to give Torino an away win at Crotone.

Lazio kept up pace with the top of the able bunch by getting an expected home win over Genoa.

Lazio had to win the match in the second half when Lucas Ocampos scored for Genoa to equalize Felipe Anderson’s early lead for Lazio.

Derby della Madonnina ended was an exciting draw.

Ivan Perisic scored a late goal for Inter Milan to deny AC Milan a third consecutive victory in the league.

From the balance of play, it was a deserving point for both Milan teams.

Inter Milan remains undefeated under Stefan Pioli’s management.
