Juventus remains on top of the Serie A table after Dani Alves shot from outside the box was deflected into the net by Edoardo Goldaniga to give Juventus an away win against Palermo.

 

Napoli                         2-0             ChievoVerona

Manolo Gabbiadini 24’

Marek Hamsik 39’

Two goals in the first half gave Napoli the win over ChievoVerona. It was a win that keeps Napoli a point behind league leaders.

Torino                       3-1             Roma

Torino gets a second win the season and Roma get the second loss in the season. On the balance of play, Torino stole a win from Roma.

Francesco Totti came in the game at second half to pull a goal back for Roma at 2-1, but Torino restored the two-goal lead 10 minutes later.

 

Genoa                         1-1         Pescara

Giovanni Simeone 47’            Rey Manaj 86’

 

Pescara took advantage of the 9 men of Genoa and left with a point.

 

Genoa took the lead in the 47th minute but lost two players to red cards in a space of five minutes. Edenilson was sent off in the 74th minute after receiving two yellow cards, and Goran Pandev 79th minute from a straight red card.

 

Inter                              1-1               Bologna

It could have been three wins in a row.

 

Inter Milan did all they could to get a home win against Bologna but ended up with a draw.  It was a draw that meant ended Inter Milan’s mini winning streak.

 

Lazio                           2-0                  Empoli

It was an important home win for Lazio.  And a tough loss for Empoli.

The loss leaves Empoli in the relegation zone.

 

Sassuolo                           1-0                Udinese

Gregoire Defrel 34’

 

Sassuolo gets back to their winning ways and Udinese goes winless in three straight matches.  A 1-0 win gave Sassuolo three points that sends them into the top half of the table.

 

Fiorentina                           0-0                 AC Milan

 

It was a draw match between Fiorentina and AC Milan. Josip Ilicic missed a penalty that could have given the home team a win.

Crotone                      1-3                    Atalanta

Newly promoted Crotone remains winless after six matches in Serie A. They sit at the bottom of the table with their best result coming from a drawn match against Palermo.

It was a win for Atalanta that ended a losing streak and pulled them out of the relegation zone.

 

Atalanta won the match in the first half.  The took an early lead within the first three minutes and added two more goals before the end of the half.

 

Cagliari                             2-1                  Sampdoria

Just when Sampdoria thought they were going to get a point from the match, Cagliari wiped all hopes away with a quick goal to restore their lead. Bruno Fernandes scored in the 86th minute for Sampdoria to equalizer Galvao’s 37th-minute goal from Cagliari.  Less than two minutes after the equalizer, Melchiorri scored the game winner for Cagliari to get maximum points at home.

It was a win the gives Cagliari some separation from the relegation zone while pushing Sampdoria towards the relegation zone.
