With the Champions League and the Europa League spots in the league already confirmed, the final round of the Spanish La Liga season was to confirm the third relegated team and the team that will be going into the UEFA Conference Leauge.

Since Sevilla ended up beating Athletic Club, Villarreal didn’t need a win to keep 7th place and Conference League football qualification but got it anyway by beating Barcelona 2-0 at the Camp Nou.

Cadiz, Mallorca, and Elche found a win to save their season but Mallorca couldn’t find one on the day. Mallorca is confirmed as the third relegated team on the final day of the season.

With a goalless draw against Real Betis being the final result of the season, Real Madrid won the league by 13 points after Barcelona failed to pick up points to narrow the gap.
Barcelona was beaten at home by Villarreal.

Cadiz moved out of the relegation zone with a 1-0 win away against Alaves.
Granada dropped into the relegation zone after going goalless at home with Espanyol.
