Danny Welbeck was once again instrumental in Arsenal’s success against CSKA Moscow. Arsenal advanced to the semi-final of the UEFA Europa League by coming from two goals down to get an away draw at Moscow.
Overturning away defeat at home. Marseille and Salzburg put on a show for their home supporters.
Marseille overturned a ‘1-0’ defeat in Leipzig by beating RB Leipzig ‘5-2’ at the Stade Velodrome, while Salzburg overturned a ‘4-2’ away defeat to Lazio by coming from a goal down to score 4 in the second half (3 of the goals within 4 minutes) to win the tie at home and knockout Lazio.
Despite being victorious on their own grounds, Sporting CP couldn’t get the extra goal to take the tie against Atletico Madrid to extra time.
Everything is set-up for a tasty semi-final.
